About Alan Hoffler
Alan Hoffler is the co-founder of Standing Men Last. He is a builder at heart — of systems, of understanding, and of people.
Trained as an engineer and seasoned as a math teacher and communications leader, Alan has spent his life helping others make sense of complex things and move forward with clarity.
But beyond his professional roles, his deepest calling has always been relational: investing in men, mentoring leaders, and walking alongside others as they grow into who they were created to be. He is first a husband, father and a new grandpa, and from that foundation flows his passion to see men live with purpose, integrity, and lasting impact — in their families, their work, and their communities.
About David Loftis
David Loftis is owner and co-founder of Standing Men Last. He is, at heart, a shepherd.
For more than 35 years he has served as a worship leader, pastor, musician, and men’s ministry leader, helping people encounter God and grow into lives of purpose and integrity. His passion has always been the same: guiding others to know God deeply and walk closely with Him. More than any title, David treasures his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather. His love for God and for people shapes everything he does — whether teaching the Word, mentoring men, leading worship, coaching leaders, or simply walking alongside someone in a season of growth.
Why SML Exists
Standing Men Last exists because too many men are quietly drifting — successful, responsible, and busy, yet uncertain about what truly defines their lives.
We help men step out of the noise long enough to rediscover their identity in God, clarify their purpose in light of eternity, and establish the convictions that will guide their decisions.
We give men more than insight — they leave and live with a Stand: a clear declaration of who they are, what they believe, and how they intend to live, creating a legacy for families and communities to see, remember, and follow.
